Floor, walls and roof
Galvanised lightweight steel frame with insulation delivers a robust building, reduces construction time, eliminates the risk of rust or corrosion and offers superior strength. The Windsor features a flat EDPM roof, and this can be planted to promote biodiversity.
Doors and windows
The Windsor features aluminium bifold doors and windows in anthracite grey frame colour. Glazing options are Lowe soft coat toughened glass or Sola glass (additional cost). Blinds between glazing are optional at additional cost.
Exterior vertical cladding
Exterior cladding is comprised of a natural wood veneer encapsulated in resin showcasing the beauty of natural wood, each panel is unique, but requires no sanding or staining and so is truly maintenance-free. The cladding is available in a choice of colours, enabling you to customise your building.
Exterior horizontal cladding
2mm powder-coated anthracite grey aluminium cladding has been designed and manufactured in the UK specifically for Kennedy Garden Retreats and is maintenance-free. Trims and facias are made from the same material. Horizontal cladding matches the doors and windows.
Internal walls
Internal walls are completed by beautiful birch plywood panels secured to battens with concealed fixings. Panels are coated in a 10% sheen lacquer that ensures they are maintenance-free.
Flooring
Choose composite boards, oak engineered boards or walnut engineered boards. Walnut is not suitable for underfloor heating and is an additional cost.
Ceiling
Ceilings feature oak or walnut flexible acoustic panels.
Heating
Underfloor heating is the efficient choice and maximises the available internal space. Underfloor heating and air conditioning is an optional extra.
Interior lighting and electrical points
Windsor garden rooms are fitted with LED shadow lighting to all four sides together with a central light or chrome finished downlights. The buildings also boast black insert satin chrome double sockets with built-in USB ports.
Exterior lighting
The exterior lighting is comprised of two exterior lights, one on each side of the building and downlights in the canopy overhang.
Optional internal fittings
The Windsor can be fitted with a toilet and/or a kitchen. Details, specifications and prices available on request.
Exterior features
Windsor garden retreats can incorporate a decking area to the outside space of the building.
